The Piazza del Duomo in Milan is the most important square in the city and home to its finest monuments. The city's underground train system has a stop called Duomo that upon exit at ground level, leaves you breathless with the sight of Milan Cathedral.

You can get the best views of the Piazza from the terrace of the Cathedral; from this position you can look down on the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II to the right or cross to the other side of the terrace and spot the Royal Palace of Milan.
