​The historic town of Pietrasanta is situated within the Province of Lucca and has a population of around 23,000 inhabitants.

Standing at an elevation of 14 metres above sea level, it's located a distance of 112 kilometres north west of Florence, the regional capital of Tuscany. Places of interest nearby include Marina di Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi and Lido di Camaiore.

Pietrasanta is a charming town located in the northern part of Tuscany, Italy. Situated between the Apuan Alps and the Tyrrhenian Sea, it offers a perfect blend of artistic heritage, cultural richness, and natural beauty. Known as the "Little Athens" of Versilia, Pietrasanta is renowned for its thriving art community and its historical significance as a center for marble sculpting.
History
Pietrasanta's history dates back to ancient times when it was an important Roman settlement known as "Luna." Throughout the centuries, the town was ruled by various noble families, including the Malaspina and Medici, which contributed to its cultural development and artistic growth.
