The mountain town of Pieve di Cadore is located within the Province of Belluno and has a population of 1,894 inhabitants.

It's situated 39 kilometres from the city of Belluno and around 130 kilometres north of Venice, the regional capital of Veneto. Standing at an elevation of 878 metres above sea level, it covers an area of 67 km² and is the birthplace of the painter, Titian (Tiziano).

History
Pieve di Cadore has a rich history that dates back to ancient times. The area was inhabited by the Celts and later became part of the Roman Empire. During the medieval period, the town grew in importance as a center for trade and commerce.

Pieve di Cadore gained prominence in the 15th century when the renowned Renaissance painter Titian, born Tiziano Vecellio, was born here in 1477. Titian's artistic legacy has left an indelible mark on the town's history and culture.
