Located in the Province of Belluno, Lake Cadore has a surface area of 230 hectares and a maximum depth of 49 metres.

The lake is situated 40 kilometres from the city of Belluno and around 130 kilometres north of Venice, Veneto's regional capital.

Nearby places of interest include the towns of Pieve di Cadore, Auronzo di Cadore and Cortina d'Ampezzo.
