​​The ski resort of Pila is situated a distance of 4 kilometres south-west of Aosta, the regional capital of Valle d'Aosta. It stands at an elevation of 626 metres above sea level and has a population of around 3,400 permanent residents.

​Places of interest nearby include Aymavilles, the Parc Animalier d'Introd animal park and the village of Avise.
