Ski  Resorts  of  Valle  d'Aosta

Among the ski resorts of Valle d'Aosta are two of the most famous in Italy. The Valle d'Aosta region is situated in the north western corner of Italy and shares an international border with France. 

Entering Italy by road from France it's possible to use the Mont Blanc tunnel and the first town you arrive at on the Italian side is Courmayeur. This well-equipped ski resorts is overlooked by the imposing Monte Bianco (Mont Blanc) and has an excellent range of accommodation options. Sharing the attribute of being overlooked by a famous mountain is the resort of Breuil-Cervinia where the magnificent Matterhorn provides a dramatic backdrop.
