Pretty  Villages  of  Basilicata

The collection of pretty villages of Basilicata includes one of the most surreal locations in Italy. 

Now classed as a ghost town, the little hill town of Craco was abandoned after a landslide caused irreparable damage to its infrastructure. The devastating event meant the end of the village as the living, breathing entity that it was, but ironically gave it new life with a whole tourism industry built around its mystical state. 

​Craco is just one of the little towns and villages of Basilicata that are so enchanting while others include Cersosimo and Spinoso.
