How to Get to San Giovanni Rotondo
By Rail: San Giovanni Rotondo does not have its own mainline station, but it is connected by a branch line operated by Ferrovie del Gargano from the nearby station of Foggia. From Foggia, regular trains run to major Italian cities. A bus or taxi from Foggia to San Giovanni Rotondo takes about 40 minutes and connects directly with train arrivals.

By Road: Located inland on the Gargano Peninsula, San Giovanni Rotondo is around 40 kilometres north of Foggia, with a driving time of approximately 50 minutes via the SS89. Car parks are available near the sanctuary area and throughout the town centre, particularly during pilgrimage periods.

  • Foggia – Gino Lisa Airport: Around 45 kilometres away, this small regional airport offers limited domestic services and seasonal connections. Travel time by car is about 50 minutes.
