The busiest part of town is the Piazzetta; a neat and tidy square where its possible to enjoy some outdoor refreshments before taking a stroll past some colourful houses and slightly north towards the ruins of Castello Ruffo.

The story of Cilla
Just in front of the castle ruins is a famous statue called Cilla. The haunting piece of work honours a town legend of a young bride whose fisherman husband went out to sea one day and never came back. Overcome with grief, the poor Cilla threw herself off the cliff, down to the sea and to her death. Just a little further along from the Cilla statue you come to a delightful little church: the Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista, from where you can enjoy another great sea view in the peaceful surroundings.
Close to San Lucido
