Tolmezzo is a charming town located in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy. Situated in the Province of Udine, Tolmezzo is nestled amidst the stunning Carnic and Julian Alps, offering a picturesque setting and a range of outdoor activities. ​
History
Tolmezzo has a rich and ancient history that dates back to Roman times. The town's name is believed to have originated from the Latin term "Tullianum," referring to the prison where Saint Peter was held.

​Throughout the centuries, Tolmezzo was influenced by various cultures, including the Lombards and the Venetians. The town prospered during the Middle Ages as an important center for trade and craftsmanship.
