Udine Province

The Udine Province in Friuli Venezia Giulia once occupied a total geographical area of 4,969 square kilometres, including the provincial capital city of Udine.
Within the province there were 134 provincial towns, known as communes (comune singular or comuni plural in Italian). The total population of Udine Province was around 528,000 inhabitants. |

On 30th September 2017 Udine Province was disbanded when the administrative system in Friuli Venezia Giulia changed. There are now 18 Intercomunal Territorial Unions, ten of which contain land that was once within the Province of Udine with the city of Udine itself now the administrative capital of the UTI del Friuli Centrale.
