The smaller towns and villages that make up the collection of Umbria's Borghi Più Belli d'Italia provide a wide range of architectural treasures and attractive landscapes. 

A borgo (borghi is plural) is usually an historic village, a hill town or an area of a larger town where time seems to move at a much slower pace and the negative aspects of modernity kept at bay. 

​Umbria is particularly fertile ground for this type of location; its rolling hills concealing secrets and traditions that have been passed down to family members through the generations.
