Of the five UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Friuli Venezia Giulia, one is completely contained within the region while the remaining four form parts of multi-site listings.
The archaeological site of Aquileia is a single-site inscription and located close to the Adriatic Coast near the town of Grado. The Dolomites mountain region is shared between Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige South Tyrol, while Palmanova forms part of the Venetian Works of Defence listing. Historic Cividale del Friuli is one of the Longobard Places of the Power. The Pile Dwellings around the Alps are found in numerous countries. |
