The UTI Carso Isonzo Adriatico territory occupies a total geographical area of 265 square kilometres, including its administrative centre, Monfalcone and the seaside town of Grado.

One of the Intercomunal Territorial Unions of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, it has a total population of around 72,000 inhabitants permanently resident within its 10 comunes (municipalities). ​​​​​
