​The Valdichiana is a picturesque valley region, situated within the Province of Arezzo and the Province of Siena. 

It covers large swathes of the Tuscan countryside, encompassing some of the region's most famous hill towns such as Pienza, Cortona and Montepulciano. The beautiful Val d'Orcia is also close by while Florence Airport is just over an hour away by car.

Valdichiana is a historical and scenic region located in central Italy, primarily within the provinces of Arezzo and Siena in the region of Tuscany. This valley, known as the Val di Chiana in Italian, is characterized by rolling hills, fertile plains, charming towns, and picturesque landscapes.
History
Valdichiana has a rich historical past dating back to ancient times. It was once a marshy area, but the Etruscans, an ancient civilization that predates the Roman Empire, drained the land and cultivated it for agriculture. The Romans continued the development of the region, and it became an essential agricultural center.

Throughout the Middle Ages, Valdichiana was contested by several powerful city-states, including Florence, Siena, and Arezzo. Today, the region is known for its cultural heritage, historical towns, and traditional Tuscan way of life.
