Valle  d'Aosta's  Borghi  Piu  Belli  d'Italia

The collection of two villages that represent Valle d'Aosta's Borghi Piu Belli d'Italia offer some vastly different scenery whilst still sharing many similar attributes. 

Fort Bard is one of the most impenetrable-looking castles in Italy and it stands guard to the tiny village of Bard just below it. 

Whereas Bard is situated along the main road that runs through the centre of the valley region, Etroubles requires a steep climb towards the famous mountain pass of Grand Saint Bernard which marks one of the entry points into Italy from Switzerland.
