It is recognised as one of the most authentic medieval settlements in Emilia-Romagna, with stone walls, towers, and narrow lanes preserved within a compact layout. How to Get to Vigoleno
By Rail: Vigoleno does not have its own train station. The nearest station is in Fiorenzuola d’Arda, about 15 kilometres away, on the Milan–Bologna line operated by Trenitalia. From Milan, the train to Fiorenzuola takes around 1 hour, and from Bologna about 50 minutes. From Fiorenzuola, Vigoleno can be reached in approximately 25 minutes by car or taxi.

By Road: Vigoleno is located in the hills of the Val d’Arda, within the province of Piacenza. From Piacenza, the distance is around 35 kilometres, with a driving time of about 40 minutes. From Parma, the journey is approximately 45 kilometres and takes about 50 minutes. Parking is available outside the castle walls and at the edge of the village.
