The Alcantara Gorge is situated within the Metropolitan City of Messina province and belongs to the Comune of Motta Camastra.
Its full Italian name is the Gole Alcantara Parco Botanico e Geologico and is sometimes referred to as a river park. The favourite activity here is to wade through the narrow gorge to discover the fascinating rock and mineral formations on either side. |
