The seaside town of Giardini Naxos is situated on the Ionian Coast, in the Metropolitan City of Messina province. It has a population of around 9,000 residents and the main highlights are the beaches, the restaurants and the promenade.

Giardini Naxos is a charming coastal town located in the province of Messina in Sicily, Italy. Situated on the eastern coast of the island, Giardini Naxos is known for its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and its historical significance as one of the first Greek colonies in Sicily.
History
The history of Giardini Naxos dates back to ancient times when it was originally settled by the Sicels, an ancient indigenous population of Sicily. In 734 BC, it was colonized by Greek settlers from Naxos in Greece, becoming one of the earliest Greek colonies in Sicily. The town was named "Naxos" after the Greek island from which the settlers came.

During the Greek and later Roman periods, Naxos flourished as an important trading and cultural center. It was a prosperous town known for its agricultural activities, pottery, and its strategic position along ancient trade routes.
