Avetrana is a small town located in the southern part of Puglia, within the Province of Taranto. Situated inland, it lies between the towns of Manduria and the Ionian coast, in the heart of the Salento region. Known for its agricultural significance, particularly in the production of olives, grapes, and other local produce, Avetrana offers a peaceful, rural atmosphere. The town’s historic centre is characterised by narrow streets, traditional stone buildings, and several charming squares, making it an inviting place for visitors looking to experience authentic Puglian life.

Visitors to Avetrana can explore its historical landmarks, such as the Church of San Giovanni Battista, which stands as a key symbol of the town.
