​​The beach resort of Baratti is situated in the Province of Livorno, on the Ligurian Sea. It's officially part of the Comune of Piombino, which is around 10 kilometres away.

Places of interest nearby include ​San Vincenzo, Follonica, Massa Marittima and Suvereto while Pisa Airport is 99 kilometres away and reachable by car in an hour and 5 minutes.

Baratti is a charming coastal town located in the province of Livorno, in the Tuscany region of Italy. It is renowned for its picturesque beaches, ancient archaeological sites, and scenic landscapes. ​
History
Baratti has a fascinating historical background that dates back to the Etruscan civilization, making it an essential archaeological site in Italy. The town was once an essential Etruscan and Roman port, thriving due to its strategic location on the Tyrrhenian Sea. During the Etruscan period, it was known as "Populonia," and it was a flourishing center for metalworking and trade.

The Etruscan necropolis and numerous artifacts found in the area bear witness to its ancient past. Over time, Baratti continued to be an important maritime center, contributing to the region's rich history.
