The seaside town of Cariati is situated on the Ionian Coast in the Province of Cosenza.

It has a population of 8,094 inhabitants and is located 112 kilometres north east of Cosenza, the provincial capital. The nearest hotel is 10 km away while nearby places of interest include Cirò Marina, Cropalati, Rossano and Marina di Pietrapaola.
