Situated on the north east coast of the island region, the two holiday marinas of Sardinia listed below are in some ways a little difficult to define. The occupy some of the most valuable real estate in Sardinia in the VIP area known as the Costa Smeralda.

The Emerald Coast attracts the wealthier type of tourist and there are some of the best hotels in Italy occupying its shores.

Porto Cervo has long been known as the place to be in Sardinia and it's a strange mixture between designer shopping centre, beach resort and marina with a similar situation in nearby Porto Rotondo.
