​The seaside town of Isola delle Femmine is situated on the Tyrrhenian Coast, in the Metropolitan City of Palermo province.

​It has a population of around 7,000 residents and the main highlights are the harbour, the restaurants and the small island that sits just a short distance out to sea. Nearby places of interest include Sferracavallo, Mondello, Palermo, Monreale and Bagheria.

Isola delle Femmine is a small coastal village located in the province of Palermo, Sicily, Italy. Situated on the northern coast of the island, Isola delle Femmine offers a relaxing seaside escape with a rich historical heritage.
History
The history of Isola delle Femmine dates back to ancient times when it was originally known as "Isola di Fimeni." The name "Femmine" possibly refers to the presence of monk seals (also known as "females" in Italian) in the surrounding waters during ancient times.

Throughout history, the area was inhabited by various civilizations, including the Phoenicians, Greeks, and Romans. The village was later fortified in the 17th century to defend against pirate raids and became an important fishing center.
