Located in the Province of Belluno, Lake Auronzo has a surface area of half a square kilometre and a maximum depth of 49 metres.
The lake is situated 58 kilometres from the city of Belluno and around 150 kilometres north of Venice, capital of Veneto. The lake is also known as Lago di Santa Caterina and at its south-eastern extremity there's an artificial dam: the Diga di Santa Caterina. |
