The pair of Orange Flag towns of Basilicata have both been included on the list by the Touring Club Italiano association.
In a scheme designed to promote smaller towns and villages across Italy, the association's Bandiera Arancione meaning Orange Flag, is a mark of quality ascribed to places worthy of a visit that have also demonstrated a certain level of environmental responsibility. Basilicata's two towns of the list are the charming hill town of Guardia Perticara and the colourful village of San Severino Lucano which is situated within the expansive Pollino National Park. |
