​The town of Pescasseroli is situated within the Province of l'Aquila and has a population of 2,174 inhabitants.

Standing at an elevation of 1,167 metres above sea level, it covers a total area of 92 km². There are 15 hotels in the town centre while nearby places of interest include Opi, Civitella Alfedana, Barrea and Scanno.
