​The Plan de Corones mountain area is situated within the Province of South Tyrol and rises to a maximum elevation of 2,275 metres above sea level. Highlights of the area include Brunico, the Fanes Sennes Prags Nature Park and Lake Braies.

Plan de Corones, also known as Kronplatz in German, is a popular mountain in the province of South Tyrol (Alto Adige) in northern Italy. Situated in the Dolomites, Plan de Corones is one of the most renowned ski and hiking areas in the region, attracting visitors year-round with its stunning alpine landscapes and a wide range of recreational activities.
History
The history of Plan de Corones is closely tied to the development of tourism in South Tyrol. In the early 20th century, the area was primarily used for farming and grazing, but with the increasing interest in winter sports and tourism, Plan de Corones transformed into a modern ski resort.
