The town of Selargius is located within the Province of Cagliari and has a population of 28,463 inhabitants.

Standing at an elevation of 10 metres above sea level, it lies 7 kilometres north east of Cagliari, the regional capital of Sardinia. 
A mainly residential area, Selargius' main sights include two churches: Chiesa di San Giuliano & Chiesa di SS Vergine Assunta.

Selargius is a town located in the southern part of Sardinia, just a few kilometres from the regional capital, Cagliari. Positioned in the plains of the Campidano area, it is easily accessible and serves as a quieter alternative to the bustling city while still being close to its amenities and attractions. The town has a traditional Sardinian feel, with its narrow streets, local markets, and stone houses, providing a sense of authentic island life.

Selargius is known for its rich agricultural history, with fertile lands surrounding the town that produce a variety of local crops. It is also home to the Church of San Lussorio, a historical landmark with significant cultural and architectural value.
