​The hill town of Calascibetta is situated within​ the Province of Enna, a distance of 136 kilometres south east of Palermo, the regional capital of Sicily. 

Standing at an elevation of 691 metres above sea level it has a population of around 4,500 residents. Nearby places of interest include Enna, Leonforte, Agira, Lake Pozzillo, Nicosia and Sperlinga.
