The town of Cogne is situated a distance of 27 kilometres south of Aosta, the regional capital of Valle d'Aosta. 

It stands at an elevation of 1,534 metres above sea level and has a population of around 1,300 residents. Nearby places of interest include Epinel, Cretaz, Gran Paradiso National Park and Aymavilles. The recommended stay is the Hotel Miramonti.

Cogne is a picturesque village situated in the western part of the Aosta Valley, nestled at the foot of the Gran Paradiso massif. At an altitude of around 1,500 metres, Cogne is surrounded by stunning natural beauty, with the towering peaks of the Gran Paradiso National Park providing a dramatic backdrop. The village is known for its traditional Alpine charm, with wooden chalets, cobbled streets, and lush meadows that provide a peaceful and scenic environment. Cogne retains a strong connection to its past, with local traditions, cuisine, and crafts that reflect its deep-rooted history.
