Located in the Province of Potenza, Lake Sirino has a surface area of 5 hectares and a maximum depth of 9 metres. The lake sits between the towns of Lauria and Lagonegro, 108 kilometres from the city of Potenza, regional capital of Basilicata.

Among the places of interest close by are Rivello, Lauria, Lagonegro, Maratea and Acquafredda.
