The lakeside towns of Trentino Alto Adige South Tyrol are placed next to some of the most beautiful lakes in Italy.

Two in particular stand out from the rest: marking the northern coastline of Lake Garda Italy's largest lake, is the resort town of Riva del Garda. Whereas Riva del Garda and Lake Garda itself attract a truly international crowd, the beautiful resort of Molveno a little way north towards the Alps, has much more of an Italian feel to it and is something of a hidden gem by comparison. That said, during the summer it's teeming with visitors, attracted to the pristine lawns that lead out to the azure waters of Lake Molveno.
