The city of Latina is the capital city of the Province of Latina with a population of 126,746 inhabitants. Standing at an elevation of 21 metres above sea level, it covers a total area of 277 km² and lies 80 kilometres north east of Rome, the capital city of Lazio.
Originally founded in 1932 by Benito Mussolini, the city is famous for its rationalist architecture; the town hall being a prime example. |
