The city of Frosinone is the capital city of the Province of Frosinone with a population of 46,054 inhabitants.
Standing at an elevation of 291 metres above sea level, it covers a total area of 47 km² and lies 90 kilometres south east of Rome, the capital city of Lazio. The main sights of Frosinone include its cathedral (Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta) and Piazza Sant'Ormisda, both of which are in the centro storico (old town). |

Frosinone Travel
Frosinone does have a train station but it's located 5 kilometres away from the city centre, a drive of around 15 minutes.
By car you can reach Rome in 1 hour 8 minutes (89 km) or the fellow provincial capitals as follows: Latina - 58 minutes (53 km), Viterbo - 1 hour 44 minutes (168 km) or Rieti in 1 hour 45 minutes (149 km).
The most convenient airport for Frosinone is Rome Ciampino which is a 57 minute drive away (79 km) but it's not much further to Rome Fiumicino which is an hour and 16 minutes' drive, a journey of 108 kilometres.
