The beach resort of Lido di Metaponto is situated on the Ionian Coast, in the Province of Matera. 

It belongs to the comune of Metaponto and lies 51 kilometres south east of Matera, the provincial capital. There are four hotels at the resort while places of interest nearby include Metaponto Archaeological Park and Tavole Palatine.
