The beach resort of Miseno is situated within the Metropolitan City of Naples province. It's officially part of the Comune of Bacoli, which is a distance of 3 kilometres away.

Places of interest nearby include Baia, Pozzuoli, Cumae and the Pausilypon Archaeological Park while Naples Airport is 8 kilometres away and reachable by car in 20 minutes.

Miseno is a historic coastal town located in the Campania region of southern Italy, specifically in the province of Naples. Nestled on the northern side of the Gulf of Naples, Miseno offers visitors a combination of ancient history, picturesque landscapes, and a tranquil seaside atmosphere.
History
Miseno holds a rich historical heritage dating back to ancient times. It was originally settled by the ancient Greeks and later became a significant Roman port town. The town was named after the Roman general Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus, also known as Pompey the Great, who had a villa in the area.

Miseno played a crucial role in maritime activities during the Roman Empire and was an important naval base for the Roman fleet. It was also the site of the famous naval battle of Misenum in 36 BC, where Octavian (later known as Emperor Augustus) defeated Sextus Pompey, securing his position as ruler of Rome.
