​​​The Modena Province occupies a geographical area of 2,688 square kilometres including the provincial capital: Modena.

Within the province there are 48 provincial towns, which contain a total population of around 705 thousand inhabitants. Among the highlights of the province are the towns of Fiumalbo, Carpi, Vignola, Sassuolo​ and Maranello which is home of Ferrari.

Modena Province is located in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. It is known for its rich history, cultural heritage, and culinary delights. The province's capital, Modena, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is famous for its well-preserved historical center and traditional balsamic vinegar.
History
​Modena has a long and storied history dating back to ancient times. It was an important Roman city known as Mutina and played a significant role during the Roman Empire. In the Middle Ages, Modena became a free commune and later came under the rule of the Este family, who were important rulers of the region.

The Este family left a lasting impact on Modena's architecture and culture. The city and the surrounding province have been influential in arts, literature, and music over the centuries.
