​Mount or Monte Limbara is situated within the Province of Sassari and rises to a height of 1,362 metres above sea level. 

Places of interest nearby include the town of Tempio Pausania, the Nuraghe Maiori archaeological site, Aggius and Olbia, while Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport is reachable in an hour and 7 minutes by car, a distance of 61 kilometres.

Monte Limbara is a majestic mountain range located in the northern part of Sardinia, Italy. It is part of the province of Sassari and is one of the most iconic natural landmarks on the island. Rising to a height of approximately 1,359 meters (4,459 feet), Monte Limbara offers stunning panoramic views, diverse flora and fauna, and numerous hiking opportunities.
History
Monte Limbara has been of cultural and historical significance to the people of Sardinia for centuries. In the past, the mountain was considered sacred by the ancient Nuragic civilization, and several nuraghi (megalithic towers) can still be found on its slopes, indicating its relevance in prehistoric times.

During the Middle Ages, the mountain was inhabited by shepherds and was known for its dense forests and abundant wildlife. It has also been a refuge for rebels during certain periods of Sardinia's history.
