The town of Montegridolfo is situated within the Province of Rimini and has a population of around 1,000 residents.

It stands at an elevation of 300 metres above sea level and is included in the list of Borghi Più Belli d'Italia (most beautiful villages in Italy). Places of interest nearby include Montefiore Conca, San Leo, San Marino, Cattolica and Rimini. ​

Montegridolfo is a small and picturesque village located in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. Situated in the province of Rimini, it's perched on a hilltop, offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the Adriatic Sea. ​
History
Montegridolfo's history dates back to ancient times, with evidence of human settlements in the area since Roman eras. During the Middle Ages, the village became a fortified stronghold and was ruled by various noble families, including the Malatesta and the Montefeltro.

The strategic location of Montegridolfo made it an important defensive outpost, and its fortified walls and towers were built to protect the village. Today, Montegridolfo retains its medieval charm, with well-preserved buildings and historical landmarks that reflect its rich heritage.
