Nuraghe Losa is an ancient Nuragic complex located in the central-western part of Sardinia, Italy. It is one of the most well-preserved and impressive nuraghi on the island, offering visitors a glimpse into the fascinating history and architecture of the Nuragic civilization.
History
The Nuragic civilization thrived in Sardinia during the Bronze Age and Iron Age, from around 1800 BCE to 238 BCE. Nuraghe Losa is estimated to have been built during the Late Bronze Age, around 1500 BCE. These unique stone structures served as multi-purpose defensive towers, dwellings, and religious sites for the Nuragic people.
