Religious  Sites  of  Lombardy

The most famous religious sites of Lombardy come in a range of categories from cathedrals to monasteries, abbeys and baptisteries. They can also be found not only in the major cities such as Milan, but also in scenic positions around the lakes. 

In terms of churches, Lombardy can boast the cathedrals of Milan, Cremona and Pavia while for the next category of Basilicas there are the likes of Santa Maria delle Grazie, San Maurizio Maggiore al Monastero and the Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio, all of which are in Milan. Elsewhere in the region we find the baptisteries of Cremona, Lenno and Bergamo and the beautiful Certosa di Pavia.
