Scenic  Towns  of  Molise

The most scenic towns of Molise are somewhat hidden around this fascinating region's hills and forests, but suddenly present the patient traveller with great rewards when they appear. 

Molise is one of the smallest of the 20 regions of Italy and until fairly recently was just the southern area of Abruzzo, with that combined historical region known as "The Abruzzi". 

Aside from its small area of coastline, the region is almost entirely undeveloped in terms of tourism so while you may find a rocky road or two, you do stumble upon delights such as Colletorto.
