​The town of Senise is situated within the Province of Potenza and has a population of 6,914 inhabitants.

Standing at an elevation of 335 metres above sea level, it covers a total area of 97 km². The town has one hotel while nearby places of interest include the Diga di Monte Cotugno, Chiaromonte and Francavilla in Sinni.
