UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Sicily

The number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Sicily is greater than the seven separate listings, four of which relate to multiple locations. The single-site inscriptions relate to the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento (officially titled Archaeological Area of Agrigento), Villa Romana del Casale and Mount Etna.

Consisting of nine locations, the largest of the inscriptions is fully-titled: Arab-Norman Palermo and the Cathedral Churches of Cefalù and Monreale. There are a further eight locations in the Late Baroque Towns of the Val di Noto (South-Eastern Sicily) listing, split between the Catania, Ragusa and Syracuse provinces.

The fifth UNESCO World Heritage inscription relating to Sicily is titled Syracuse and the Rocky Necropolis of Pantalica which relates to the ancient Greek monuments in Syracuse and the burial site around 25 kilometres inland. The final multi-site inscription is the group of seven Aeolian Islands in the north-east corner of Sicily.
