The village of Valpelline is situated a distance of 13 kilometres north of Aosta, the regional capital of Valle d'Aosta. It's located in the Valpelline Valley area of the region.

Valpelline stands at an elevation of 964 metres above sea level and has a population of around 600 residents.

Nearby places of interest include the towns of Oyace, Lago di Place Moulin, Bionaz, Aosta and Pila.

The recommended accommodation is the Le Relais De La Grandze in the village of Doues.
