The region of Lombardy's Borghi Più Belli d'Italia (Italy's Most Beautiful Villages) number a total of 20 small towns and villages.

Each of the locations within the collection has its own unique charm and they are spread far and wide across Lombardy. Perhaps the pick of the bunch is San Benedetto Po while the likes of Bienno, Gromo and Soncino could justifiably argue their cases.

One of the most unusual in the collection is Monte Isola, a mountain village on a tiny island in the middle of Lake Iseo. Another town, Sabbioneta also makes the UNESCO World Heritage List.
