The city of Pesaro (pronounced with the stress on the first syllable) is the capital city of the Province of Pesaro and Urbino with a population of 94,969 inhabitants.
Located on the shores of the Adriatic Sea, it lies 93 kilometres north west of Ancona, the regional capital of Marche.
