​The San Giuliano Nature Reserve is situated in the Province of Matera and covers an area of 10 km².

It lies 14 kilometres from the city of Matera and around 90 kilometres east of Potenza, the regional capital of Basilicata. If planning a trip to the park, the best places to find hotels are Matera, Miglionico or Ferrandina.
