Seaside  Towns  of  Abruzzo

The seaside towns of Abruzzo occupy the region's long stretch of Adriatic Coast which is characterised by flat, sandy beaches. 

​Largest of these seaside locations is the city of Pescara which is the most populous city in Abruzzo. Beyond Pescara there are around half a dozen seaside municipalities as well as the smaller beach resorts which are typically frazioni of a larger comune. 

Giulianova is one of Abruzzo's favourite seaside resorts while Ortona with its Castello Aragonese offers something a little different and Francavilla al Mare has beautiful aquamarine water.
